This position will report directly to OFTP Team Lead.
Ammo Handler Duties &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the handling, storage, examining, transporting, and identifying of ammunition.
Responsible for detecting defects, serviceability, deterioration, and compliance with all ammunition and explosives regulations.
Routinely inspects ammunition and components using appropriate ammunition surveillance procedures.
Issue ammo as needed.
Prepares items for shipment to other installations.
Ensures appropriate recordkeeping of forms and inventory data is up to date.
Maintain a clean, secure, and safe work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must function effectively as a positive team member.
Excellent interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment Minimum Requirements:
Must be a person with integrity, with a high level of proficiency.
Must be able to lift and walk with 50lbs Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and employment drug screenings.
Must be a Citizen of the United States Education and Experience Academic High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of 12 months of specialized experience or training, handling ammunition, and the ability to learn how to destroy explosives and toxic materials.
Experience must demonstrate the knowledge of and the ability to use and maintain tools and equipment associated with the type of work to be done.
Experience must demonstrate the knowledge of and ability to apply safety standards.
