About the Position:
TEMPORARY PROMOTION NTE 1 YEAR
This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Fort Benning, Georgia, GA 31905. The Maneuver Center of Excellence Fort Benning is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia and adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Serve as supervisor for scheduled services for field-level maintenance operations in support of training base equipment. Plan daily, weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules, methods and policies established by higher levels of supervision. Select workers and assign tasks to be performed. Explain work requirements, methods and procedures; instruct subordinates in new procedures and provide advice when problems arise. Review work in progress or upon completion. Determine equipment, supplies and maintenance required. Assure that material is ordered and delivered to work sites so as not to delay work. Develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance and provide formal and informal performance appraisals. Identify employees training needs and initiate recommendations to provide necessary training. Schedule and approve leave for subordinates. Maintain production reports and records. Operate vehicles for the purpose of moving in and out of shop area, to evacuate items. Perform road test and other requirements as needed. Operate vehicles traveling to alternate work sites away from the shop.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Performed field-level maintenance operations and repair on heavy mobile equipment and vehicles; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to diagnose repair; replaced and repaired parts on mechanical and electrical systems on vehicles and equipment. I have performed welding, fabricating, machine shop support and field contact teams that repair heavy tactical equipment in a non-standard or field environment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work requires frequent and prolonged standing, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing and crouching. Works on top of, under, or in tight compartments of equipment in cramped and awkward positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds and often exerts similar effort in pushing, pulling, and positioning parts assemblies, and equipment. Occasionally lifts heavier items with the assistance of other workers or with lifing devices such as jacks, hoists and cranes. Work is sometimes performed from ladders or work platforms at varying heights.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is performed inside and outside. When inside, individual is exposed to drafts, hot and cold shops, changing temperatures and noise which is difficult to talk above. When outside, individual is exposed to inclement weather working in heat, mud or snow and in wet or icy areas. Whether inside or outside, exposure to irritations and discomfort from fumes, dust, dirt oil and grease is common. Frequently work is performed using parts and on systems which are dirty, oily, or greasy. Subject to cuts, bruises, abrasions, burns, chemical irritations, electrical shock and injuries from falls while repairing, positioning, and moving equipment. Individual must follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as protective ear devices, hard hats, hard-toe shoes, gloves, respirators and protective clothing. Some of these safety items may be uncomfortable to wear or use, and may be worn or used for long periods.

_CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT_ :
Employee is required to observe established safe working procedures. Ensures appropriate mandatory protective clothing and/or equipment is provided to minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions.
Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License and Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card. May be required to obtain a CDL.
Because the duties of this position require a driver's license, the individual is subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
